2008 over... bring on 2009
Jul 29th 3:15PMThankyou to all the Group Coordinators for your hard work in making State Youth Games 2008 a success, not only for your team, but for everyone else involved with the games. Also, thankyou to those of you who provided feedback for us. Planning for 2009 has begun and this feedback will help guide us as we seek to make SYG the best event it can be.
State Youth Games 2009 will be held on 5-8 June. (Queen's birthday weekend) at Warragul. Check back here around January 09 for further details. Enjoy the break and we'll look forward to seeing you in 2009.
Sports booklets
Jun 5th 10:19AMFor a variety of technical reasons, the sport booklets were not available for download yesterday morning (like advised earlier in the week). We apologise greatly for this - they did go up on the registration website last night. To find them, go to "downloads" and you'll see your customised sport booklet there.
We are hoping that most groups will still be able to print off their booklets tomorrow. However, if your group is having difficulty with the short timeframe, please email us by 12pm Thursday and we will arrange to have some printed off for you. When printing double-sided select the option of 'flip on short edge' if available. Once again, sorry for the lateness of the booklets, and thanks everyone for your understanding.
Running something?
Jun 5th 10:18AMIdeas that will enhance the broader SYG experience beyond a single team/church are encouraged and welcome. In the interest of safety, security and the spirit of SYG, events within the broader SYG event that extend beyond a single team/church group, are not permitted without prior approval from the SYG committee.
If you have plans which extend beyond your team/church please contact us at the event to discuss your plans. Decisions will be made to ensure that SYG is a safe and positive experience for all participants.
Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.
Sports Booklets
Jun 2nd 4:10PMIn 2008 a change is happening with our sports booklets.
In the past, groups have received a number of sports booklets on arrival which detailed all sports draws etc. This year, a custom booklet, with only details related to your group, will be available from Wednesday 4/6. As group coordinator, you will be able to print as few, or as many of these books as you require. We will not be providing a number of booklets as we have previously.
